Natural Resource Volunteer Program

Training Requirements

The following training is essential for the NRVP volunteer, and every attempt shall be made to complete the training within 60 days of the hire date.

  1. Department of Fish and Game Employee Orientation
  2. Natural Resource Volunteer Academy
  3. Drivers Training and Observation
  4. Defensive Driver's Training
  5. Hunter Safety
  6. First Aid and CPR

In addition, volunteers are eligible to take training courses offered by DFG, on a space-available basis.
