Round 3 North Coast MPA Proposal

A single marine protected area (MPA) proposal and recommendations for special closures were developed by the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) North Coast Regional Stakeholder Group (NCRSG) in Round 3 of the north coast MPA planning process. The MPA proposal and recommendations for special closures will be analyzed by the MLPA Master Plan Science Advisory Team (SAT), California Department of Fish and Game (DFG), California Department of Parks and Recreation (California State Parks), and MLPA Initiative staff. The MPA proposal and recommendations for special closures will also be reviewed by the MLPA Blue Ribbon Task Force (BRTF).

Information regarding the MPA Proposal and recommendations for special closures is listed below, along with information regarding the existing north coast MPAs (Proposal 0).
