Location: Humboldt County - 2 miles south of Eureka, on the east side of Hwy 101.

Special Restrictions: No rifles or pistols may be used or possessed. Camping is not allowed.
Access: From Highway 101 just south of Eureka, turn east onto Elk River Road.
Description: This 104 acre Wildlife Area consists of both coastal salt marsh and riparian wetlands. Tidal influence is evidenced by the occurrence of salt tolerant plants such as cordgrass and pickleweed in low spots.
Recreational Use: Type C Wildlife Area
- Fishing, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing permitted. Among the mammals that can be seen are gray fox, coyote, mink, weasel, and river otter.
Hunting: Waterfowl, coot, and snipe are permitted during open seasons.
Facilities: None
