Spatial Data Framework CD
Current Version - 2.0 - November 2004

Develop or enhance your own spatial data library with the Spatial Data Framework CD. Each CD includes:

  • A collection of ready-to-use statewide GIS base data
  • Pre-built GIS projects to assist users in viewing the data
  • ArcExplorer GIS software (free data viewer from ESRI)
  • Basic setup and use instructions
  • ESRI Importer program for importing ArcInfo .e00 files

All the datasets are provided in the California Teale Albers projection - NAD83 datum (compatible with most DFG GIS data). The image below shows examples of the pre-built GIS projects and categories of data available on each CD.

Spatial Data Framework CDs are provided FREE to interested DFG employees. DFG employees interested in receiving this product should contact the ITB GIS Service Center at geodata@dfg.ca.gov. Please specify your mailing address and number of copies desired.
